On a lazy afternoon I was approached by a good mate Kent Marcus (Awesome DOP) for an exciting opportunity to work on a web series project – The Shepherd and the Orb
The shepherd and the orb is written by Ally Burnham and was directed by Ian Chinsee.
As a cinematographer there is so much to consider:
– What camera and lens set to use
– Lighting setups, LED or Tungsten
– Setup Times
– Power or Batteries
Well it was straight forward, I was going to run with my current setup with Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro with a set of Canon Cine lens from DigitalLogic.com.au
Recently I purchased the new Aputure 120t single source led light from Hypop.com.au This was a perfect opportunity to test out the light on a film set.
Since the light had bowens mount, I pared the Aputure 120t with 120cm octabox. I only had access to one of these light therefore I added Arri 650w as fill light.
Here’s the results…
The Shepherd and the Orb was an awesome set, I must say it was the creative minds that brought the set to life.
